A Lenten Sojourn
Rev. Dr. E. Scott Jones
March 6 2019
“Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.”
We do not need to go on a retreat or a journey to seek God. Lent & Holy Week are a “pilgrimage in place,” as we are mindful of the spiritual in our everyday lives.
Our Lenten Sojourn begins on Wednesday, March 6 with our Ash Wednesday meal and service. The meal will be at 5:30 with worship to follow. As we explore the spiritual in our ordinary lives, we begin the season with the interior journey, examining ourselves for what needs tidying up.
