Activities Overview
We believe that God calls us to “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God.” (Micah 6:8) Through Jesus the Christ, God calls us to “Love God with all our heart and soul, strength and mind, and our neighbors as ourselves.” (Mark 12:30-31)
Seeking to be faithful individually and collectively to God’s will as it is revealed to us, we strive to be a church that is:
- A place where worship is spiritually nurturing and intellectually challenging;
- Open to all people because we believe that our differences, as well as our common affirmations, strengthen us as a caring community of faith;
- Appreciative of tradition, but committed to faith that is contemporary and vital;
- A community in which each participant plays an active role in our shared life and ministry;
- Actively a part of the worldwide Body of Christ, through participation in the United Church of Christ and its ecumenical partners everywhere;
- A catalyst for personal and collective involvement in God’s work of mercy, love, and justice in our community and the world.
To these ends we offer our prayers and commitment, our talents, resources, and energies.(Mission Statement 1992)
