We are living through a public health crisis with profound implications for all other aspects of human living—morality, psychology, culture, politics, economics, etc.  And so we have developed a series of Zoom Forums involving fellow members of our faith community to help us gain some wisdom on this moment by sharing their perspectives.
This Saturday, May 16 at 10 a.m. will be our discussion of Mental and Spiritual Well-Being with minister and counselor Jeannie Bates, therapist and minister Charlene Wozny, and psychotherapist Nikki Zimmerman facilitated by Senior Minister Scott Jones.  We will discuss the mental health issues arising from this crisis, ways we can take care of ourselves, the role of spiritual practices in a moment like this, and how to remain hopeful.
And on Saturday, May 23 at 10 a.m. we will have a forum on Living Well with Uncertainty with philosopher Laura Grams, bioethicist David Nichols, and periodontist & anthropologist Daryl Malena also moderated by Senior Minster (and philosopher) Scott Jones.  This one will focus on how to cope with uncertainty, limitations on our knowledge, and how to make good and ethical decisions.
Look for information on other Zoom forums in this series soon, including one on the economic and social justice impacts of the crisis.
