Since 1998 (I think), although I attended as a child with my mom and Pipi & Pete. What is your occupation? I’m the Executive Director at the nonprofit The BRIDGE Family Resource Connector Network. What do you find meaningful about your work? I like to make systems work better for the people they serve. What organizations do you volunteer with? The National Willa Cather Foundation and First Central What ways do you volunteer at the church? Currently serving on a committee, liturgist and conversations with the children Why do you volunteer? The church is important to me so I want to contribute to its success. Plus, I like the people! What do you enjoy or find meaningful about volunteering? The connection to other people. How does church, faith, or spirituality assist you with your work? I think it’s integrated into my core values. How do you think your work is making a better world? I’m in a helping profession, and the world needs more helpers. That said, I also work to make systems better for those most impacted. The systems need to help more so we can rely less on nonprofits.
