First Central Library Jun 21, 2019 | Education, News Ever wondered what books are available in the church library? The First Central Library catalog is now online. You can access it from home or office or wherever you connect to the internet! Here’s the link: www.librarycat.org/lib/1st_Central_Library Did you know that you can borrow books from our library? We haven’t activated the circulation portion of our software yet, but books can be checked out by signing your name and date to the card in the pocket inside the book. Since we now have a budget-line for library use, feel free to suggest titles that you believe would be worth purchasing. Right now, we are suggesting religious & philosophical books, biographies, and those having to do with values for both youth and adults. (Children’s books are not online at this point, but eventually will be added.) At present the collection consists of donations either dated or recent, new purchases received from friends that are both religious and secular, and range from Shirley MacLaine’s “The Camino” to books on history & philosophy such as the Will Durant series. All major religions are represented. We hope you’ll check out our online catalog and get to know what books we have in the library. You might find the perfect read for your summer. Also, please let the Library Team know if you find any errors as you search the library. We are Carol Vogt, Dena Higginbotham, and Deb Kirwan.
